I have the paintshop pro trial and i cant get along with it becuase pasting an image without a white background makes it hard, is Photoshop better for skin making ? if so has anyone got an installation guide to install it, i have the folder on desktop and ive installed but no icon appears to run it. HELP

I confess I've never tried GIMP.
The last version of Paint Shop Pro I tried was back at like version 4 or something.
I use Photoshop 7 and I love it.
I fell in love with version 4 back at school when my friend and I were messing around with the effects. We set it up to pixellate an image and it took 20 minutes. When it was doen it wasn't what we were expecting and we had to undo it, taking another 10-15 mins! Ah, the joy of crappy old school computers

Why do you want to make the paint transparent? also how do you mean transparent paint? In photoshop could lower opacity.

Photoshop is simple while being complicated. I found i picked up the basics pretty easily but then trying to do harder things IMO photoshop works in funny ways. Also theres alot you can do in PS so just learn from basics upwards
