Is it just me or is the master server down? Nevermind. New subject: "How much to spend on a laptop."

It's down for me too.

It's up, and works fine here.

It's a "London" network problem, not the Master Server itself. There is, I'm told, also a problem if you want to connect to the Steam system - though why anyone would want to do that...

We're also having the same problem at the UKCT server. I've been shouting about it since 9am, but it turns out I may be shouting at the wrong people

It's up now. Laptop? 1st: Do u use it for work or play? If play then u should not get a laptop. If u want the top-notch laptops, spending 1000 pounds on one, excluding software costs, isn't much of a surprise

Well "Steam" works but it's very very very slow.

I am having problems also. I think its more an ISP thing though. Sometimes I can connect just fine, albeit significantly higher pings, while other times I am refused connection to the master server. I am also having problems with TS and accessing steam.
