Is there such a thing?, sometimes I get to fancying trying out some wierd and wonderful combo, so using all the cars and all the tracks (with a number attached) I use a random number generator to pick a car and track combo.

I thought it would be nice if there was a little standalone program that will pick a random car and random track.

If there is one, point me that way please, if not, anyone fancy knocking one up?, I am no programmer, but surely it wouldn't be too difficult?.

Yeah, you could do that, but a nice little app that does it for you would be nice

there is a web app somewhere, i have seen it before. you click generate and it gives you a car and a combo to try. someone else might know a bit more about it

maybe I can figure out where and how the last track/car is stored and manipulate it, but it is quick'n'dirty atm

Important: remove the extension, it already is an .exe-file, not a zip!

tell me a possibility to retrieve real random numbers easily
anyway, my program uses the seconds gone since 1.1.1970 as seed, so it is pretty random too

Get it to request a number from it - it can do requests via HTTP, SOAP or CORBA. Just advertise it on the download page that it uses random.org and that it needs a 'net connection otherwise people would think it's malware.

I guess pseudo-random numbers are just fine for the combo generator
