A vision is more perfect than committy.
I like the direction which LFS is heading in, and the pace shows determination to get it right, and not abandon it in favour of a sequel to "try again".
Explanation: I did a search on the developers posts to see if there were any nuggets of information I missed, and had no idea of the amount of shite they had to wade through I'm in admiration of the patience and steadfast attitude of the replies.
I know what it's like to work on a big software package, and I know what it's like droning away to deadlines, and finishing something of such a big undertaking. The quality slips, and any little thing or vision you had gets dropped in favour of just finishing the damn thing.
The way it's being done is absolutely the right, and only way to end up with something really special.
I'm glad it's not being made for a set time, only to have corners cut, ideas dumped in favour of schedule, and then finally being abbandoned when it's "done".
And I never knew the developers came from Lionhead Studios. It makes so much sense now as to why they don't want to sell-out, and why the standard and consistancy is so high compared to other projects I've seen.
Bit of a pointless thread really, but after reading some of the threads I mentioned earlier, I just wanted to log in stone the fact that someone appreciates what's going on, and is really happy with the method in which you chose to develop this product.
I can't wait to see how it far it goes, and in a way, I hope it's never "finished", and continues to be developed.
I'm buying my brother an S2 licence in a few days for his birthday, I hope some of my money goes towards buying you all a beer
Damn good show.
