Discussion thread for the second race of the season.

Imo we need wind enabled for this and future events. With GTR-cars wind is a lot of fun and sometimes creates a nice lift suddenly and you lose downforce. ESCC use wind in races and this really show how driver can adapt new brakepoints etc. which is part of the endurance-idea. Some say there is no time to change setup to appropriate wind conditions because you dont know they beforehand but imo this is a good thing because you have to drive the first stint very carefully and learn the new conditions and you can make setup changes for first pitstop if needed. This 2h race without wind is just a mega hotlap event, we should use this nice feature.

Personally I dont really have a problem with wind, its just that the wind is somewhat static. In real life there would be no wind at the start, then a slight breeze and maybe a little harder wind at the end of the race.
Right now the wind is always the same direction and same strength (I am not sure if there are slight changes, like small gusts, but it isnt dynamic).

No Frankie, afaik the wind varies quite much, both direction and speed. Take for example xf gti and go to BL Car Park with high wind and you will see car moving forward and backward all the time.

We could do one race with low wind as a test, I've created a poll for it.

Ok, qualification results are up. They are however not final. I will contact the people who didnt turn up in the 2 events so far. If they are not planning to race any of the upcoming races they will be removed from the pool. Everyone who cant race is also asked to send me a PM

Is there any decision concerning wind setting in this race? I want to know as quick as possible, so I will have enough time to get myself prepared I hope there will be no wind, but we'll see...

No wind, we will have some changes next season, but right now we stick with the no wind option.

It`s ok not to change Wind-Setting during a Season.
But for next Season i would prefer to Race with Wind.
Its more realistic and more interesting to Race.
I m allways racing with low Wind in Singleplayer. I never noticed flying out of a corner because of too much wind.
I think most people complaining about Wind only fear not to get their Hotlaptimes in Race; they only like to Race under laboratory conditions.....

Dont praise me now, next season might be all different. The only reason for not having the wind option now is the fact that we are mid-season, and I have enough stuff on my (endurance)mind, for example the people that signed up but never raced with us so far. I know a few of them are not on holiday, so those people are asked to send me some PM or email.

Yes, go to the season-race selection page. Then select Westhill, select any division. Above the race results you should see a link 'download replay'. 2 hours is a long watch tho, if you have to be camera director yourself

thanks a lot. i thought that might be a good idea to improve my driving. currently i don't have an internet connection to race online. plus i like the idea of endurance races.

Frankmd asked me to be race leader for div C as he'd not found anyone to do it.

I've looked for the server now but can't find it, so we are starting one right about now.

Not very good, my first experience in Endurance League..my team mess it all!! They made a critical mistake.. only fuel up a few litres when my first pitstop, ended with no fuel, dam!!
