i'd like to see what you think

thanks
james
nice idea but it wouldnt catch on
Download the browser kiosk extensions for firefox, and then use firefox as the windows shell. There you go.

I don't think he wants the games as some sort of desktop, but the data from lfsworld.net.
For instance with an active desktop or widget programs like dashboard, sidebar, yahoo widgets, samurize, etc.

At least...I think so
yeah you know the interactive desktops which are like programs realy, like that so people dont need a browser open to see lfs world

It's a nice idea and IIRC there used to be one for Samurize.
But i think Victor wouldn't be really happy with it because of the data scraping. It would be nice if LFSworld got some RSS feeds which would make something like this very easy.

I'd appreciate an LFSW-app. A solid .exe, with all static data stored locally. It'd safe LFSW some bandwith and improve my browsing experience.

What is the difference with including it in your active desktop?
or if you have windows you can custoise desktop by putting web on the desktop and make the "web" part lfsworld

I'd appreciate that built in to LFS - the server list should also contain your buddy list and potentially a favourite servers list. That would probably not be an amazing amount of work. Maybe LFSW messages as well ...

What would you know, demo racers get little benefit from LFS World.
i use LFS World as my Desktop everyday.... with Active Desktop.. is that what you mean??
I have all my LFS World icons on the right and my "real" icons on the left.

For those of you who dont know how to do this:
Right-click on your desktop > click properties > select the "Desktop" tab > select the "Web" tab > click "New..." and add http://www.lfsworld.net
hmm deja vu
Quote from nikimere :it helps when you actually explain what you are talking about. i filled that void

I am on my schools computer and I cant access the web desktop so I tried to remember it off my house :P
