That was the idia of the joke ....

*cries... you spoiled my joke .......

Oval Carts... ahhhhh.. Imagine what team FM would do with those
Porsche 917, 917/30
Porsche 935/78.
Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird.
Holden Torana A9X.
Holden Commodore VC Peter Brock 05 racecar replica.
Blower Bentley.
Why no Gixxer kart, that was quite fast and horrible to drive what I saw from video of it, so it must be loads of fun

Tristan , how many 'GO KARTS' Have a motorcycle engine, mid/rear mounted...

It may not be 'specifically' a go kart by name.. but its like saying a hotdog bun aint bread. Tastes the same, feels the same... cos it IS, the SAME.

The only thing that stops you saying it is, is because the people that made it, don't call it a go kart, if they did, you would agree with what i am saying. So your theory is SMASHED to pieces, as i would call it the closest thing to a go kart, the game will ever get.

Name a kart with double wishbone suspension (karts use axle and chassis flex alone) and a turbocharged bike engine.

The MRT is a formula SAE.

karts don't have suspension for a start.

It's nothing LIKE a Kart...
Nope, it's very much a car. Gearbox, suspension, bodywork, 4-stroke, capable of over 100mph.

How many 4-stroke karts have all that?

And don't call off-road buggies karts either.
Quote from Jakg :karts don't have suspension for a start.

Beat you on that one

Tristan, what about Super"karts"? (OK, they don't look really look like karts)
Aren't they 250cc two strokes, with no suspension (other than chassis flex)?

If so, still not exactly a 600cc turbocharged, double wishbone, sprung car!
Let's do this with pictures.

Forumla Ford:

Go Kart:

Now, which of those looks more like the MRT to you? (Hint: It's not the kart.)

Cheers,
Matt.
looks mean nothing, under the skin they're all very different
I meant mechanically-wise.

Cheers,
Matt.

It is also are Formula SAE car. same class of MRT, do you think it is are kart?

Formula SAE is a Formula Car, not Kart, but FSAE is desided for autoX event, so it is very short, it make the car look like kart, but it is Formula, just like Formula 500
WRC and stages! yes yes please please this would expand the game a ton.

LMP or P1 and P2 cars (Le mans and Alms) great racing! Plus we could even mix them with the GT and GTR for a ALMS / LE MANS experience.

Some real cars! We have the BF1 why won't any other manufacturers get in on this sweet advertisement? It's hard to believe nobody will. Renault seems to be expanding into Second Life (virtual world) perhaps they would be more than willing to join LFS to beat bmw for the constructors!

Mazda / Acura / Audi - Speed Touring Car Championship for the win.

I think were good on open wheel cars to be honest we primarily need rally / karts / high level sportscars.
How about China Circut Championship car? XDD
And Daytona Prototype Car!!!!
Quote from Dalek0220 :*sigh*
How many people will say this?

like all of my friends they think i miss say it lol i just say no L F S, L I V E F O R S P E E D ! ! ! !
Since I am still a big fan of GT Legends, I do believe the game would benefit from some classic '60's & '70's race cars like the Mustangs, Escorts, Corvettes, British roadsters, and the American big-block Cobra. GT Legends isn't the "end-all be-all" racing game in the physics department, but it dishes out immersion on a grand scale IMO. When I load up a game in GTL, I really feel like I have stepped back in time and strapped myself into a mechanically simple, yet powerful racing machine where I win by true grit and skill...without the help of fuel injection, computers, ABS, traction control, etc. When I complete a race in GTL, whether I won or lost, I feel like I really accomplished something to make it to the end of the race. I do not experience the same racing thrill in LFS...at least not to the same extent. I realize LFS and GTL are two completely different games, but I think it would be neat to see some older cars.

I'm not knocking LFS at all. It is my preferred sim of choice because of it's simplicity, the fun factor, stable coding, and the committed team of developers. I really enjoy hot-lapping and an occasional online race in LFS.

However, sometimes I need to drive something that looks "real". The fictitious cars in LFS look kinda generic on the interior and exterior. By generic I mean that when I enter the GARAGE MENU, I look at all the cars available and nothing stands out about any of them. Nothing that makes me really WANT to drive a particular car. I pick one because it handles well or because it is fun sorta to drive. That's all fine and dandy, but I believe LFS needs some cars that look fun to drive also. I don't "feel" like I am in a real car. I know, I can "pretend" I am in a Mini, or a BMW/Audi, or a Celica, or a Starion, but "pretending" ruins the immersion for me. If I need to "pretend" to drive something, I would like some additional options...The point is, I would prefer to "pretend" to drive something that at least looks cool. I'd much rather "pretend" to drive something with some V-8 low end torque than a high revving turbo 4 banger. There is nothing wrong with 4 bangers. (My 5.0 Mustang is pretty quick and I've been dusted plenty of times by some little import job.) I would just prefer some V-8 options in the game...alternatives to the normal tuner-type cars that bombard most racing games these days. I'll happily live with "look-a-likes" so long as the physics and the all important sounds are spot-on believable. Like I said before, I'm not knocking the game at all. I'm just recommending a few more options. I would love to open my GARAGE MENU sometime in the near future, look at all the cars, and actually see a few that make me say, "I'm gonna drive that one...YEAH!!!" Not because it has all the latest technology do-dads, but because it looks really cool, and sounds real, and feels real, and it makes me want to get out on the track and hang on for dear life and have fun doing it. That's what makes a racing game a racing sim.

Mark my words, if some classic type racing cars were included in future versions of LFS, the the amount of online racers would triple. Sim racers eat that stuff up because many are sick and tired of racing the same 'ol, same 'ol. Modern cars just don't have the personality that the older one's possess.

I know...I am already asking for too much, but I think it would be cool to see some '80's American muscle too. Maybe something that looks like a Buick Grand National/T-Type , or a 5.0 Mustang (please, please, please), or a Z-28 Camaro. They aren't spectacular "handlers on the road courses, but they would be fun on the drag strip.

Actually, this makes me bring up a point. A drag strip is included in the game, but I rarely see it used. I've never been a really big fan of drag racing, but I would definitely be interested in trying some online drag racing providing LFS S3 includes some cars that actually "looked the part".

I can't say more then that I agree to everything you said. Old "supercars" (or atleast they were in the back of the days) would just be a perfect addition to this game.
Nascar's ftw
