I'm sorry mate, that's sad. I have had pets around my whole life so I know how attached you get to them. But it's better this way than a life of pain

I know, but it will get better in time. Even years from now, at seemingly random moments you will think of her and you will smile and think about the fun times you had, trust me. Hang in there.
Dude, i feel really bad for you. I completley LOVE dogs, and animals in general. I have a soft spot for animals, so i know how you feel (but havnt had the experience yet).

Ill litearly give a minute of my life in silence for your dog.
its a bad feeling, mine passed away right before my whole family sat down for thanksgiving this past year (and i mean.. literally right before), funny thing is though we found out we aren't emotional eaters, but its tough yea, the best thing to do though is find a really good picture, put it in a frame.. give it to your entire family to remember

i put a little story of my dog on facebook, kinda a poem-like thing, but here is the picture that i had printed and each of my sisters, my mom, and I got frames for the picture just to remember him

14, would be 15 this past Christmas day, and he died from old age and also with cancer.. just about everywhere on him

(and DoN, incase you see this, yes this is the one you happened to edit, thanks for the memories now )

Only dog servants (which is what I am, as opposed to a dog owner) can understand the loss of a good friend...same with cat servants.

So very sorry for your loss, Kiss me. At least you will have the memories of stella...

Here's a little something that may give you (and others that have lost a pet) a bit of respite from the grief:

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sorry to hear of your dog KM As a diehard dog-lover I know it's always tough to lose a good friend like that. At least she won't suffer anymore (I like the idea of the Rainbow Bridge ).

Wise words from Mark Twain:

"The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's."

RIP Stella
Sorry to hear that, KM. It's always tough to lose a pet
i still feel sad, i feel like sh!t, dont wanna do anything... but my mother cry's alot... i wanna say things to her but i dont know what..

It's ok to cry for a lost loved one. I would say to go ahead and let it all out. Tell your mom that Stella feel's no pain now, the cancer is no longer running her life..... she is in a much better place.

Time, i think, is the only thing that will help.
