Its not often that i make a thread but i thought I should about this.
It was sent to me by a friend of mine over msn. At first i thought another crappy cadget but then after doing some research and read up on the controller i was quite intrigued.
As much as I think its a waste of money (quite happy with my normal mouse thank you) i do think as a novelty it's quite cool. Seems a little bit impractical and i think my arm would get extremely tired having to have it raised like that all of the time. Imagine playing CSS or something with it for a few hours!!! your arm would be dead.
edit:
Nevertheless, it looks like a nice piece of kit, id love to have a go with one of those as i think it would me quite fun. But for $100 i dont think I would buy it. One thing from that video of the girl playing with it hit me, when she was playing Half Life 2 with it the recoil of the gun causes the whole view in game to jerk up/left/right/down which ever way which is totaly unrealistic. When one fires a weapon its not really the head that jerks that much but the arms. Often in shoot them ups they have the whole thing jerkking on recoil but most of that is actually cutioned by the hands and body so the head actually moves less.
Wonder what it would be like to play lfs with it replacing the mouse, I know it wouldn't be as good as the wheel though, also as that thing you actually hold is detachable wouldnt it be cool to actually stick a joystick on there and play something like IL2 Sturmovik.
Over all its a nice concept and nice idea but it will need to get lot more support from current games, flying games would be best suited for the Falcon.
