I've just been playing Test Drive Unlimited, which I've found massively disappointing. I know - LfS has the best physics around, but still one thing struck me.

The TDU island of O'ahu is spectacular. It reminded me of a version of the Isle of Man once created for GP Legends, along with TT SuperBikes on the PS2. I'm just wondering what others feel as regards S3 featuring island or open road courses?
Is it possible for anyone to make a long road circuit mod? I really enjoyed World Racing and Need for Speed: Porsche a few years ago.

(Sorry for making a new thread for what's surely been covered elsewhere, I just thought the Manx TT angle is a slightly different contemplation.)

TDU with LFS Physics would equal a kick ass game

Isle of man has been in suggestions too, search for isle of man returns many topics, one being mountain course topic where it was suggested too.

And yes, LFS with track like TDU (with of course better made roads) would kick ass big time, just never going to happen as soon we see here many people saying that LFS is racing simulator, not street racing simulator or something along those lines unless I'm terrible mistaken

Isle of man is a 32 mile course, would take aaaaaages to put into lfs, despite it would make it probably the best ever game, I think it would be too much for the devs. Would be great in the GTR cars

Isn't that bit narrow to GTR cars? Those aren't most agile things and track has quite sharp turns and quite lot of big bumps too unless my memory fails me

Just install Grand Prix Legends and you can hammer a 60s F1 car around it

There's a short version available for GPL, but atm the guy who made it is working on a full-length version because the GPL Mod crew have cracked the track length limit, the geniuses :up: On that note, there's a full length (70+km) Targa Florio which is around 2/3 complete, oh baby :drool:

OK, right, back on topic. IOM with an LFS car would be grand, but I'd much prefer the Nurburgring (shorter, built for cars, plus I know it a bit ), even though it's just as unlikely we'll see it (or any other RL track) in LFS anytime soon ...

I've spent a few hours thrashing my lotus around the IOM this evening and it puts a huge smile on my face every time ...wonderful track,can't wait for the full version.
Would love to see it in LFS or NKPro.
