it's turning a great game into unplayable for me

shift-a >> gear whine >> on -> off

In the SHIFT+A sound editor you can change the volume of any sounds and save it as a new engine sound.

in my opinion, the gear wine sound great, especially in the gtr cars. DaveWS did a great job with the sounds. As far as the sound in lfs, daveWS has reached the full potential.
