Yes. Don't change your name. Buy S2.

As there is no required username to identify you in the demo there is nothing you can do. Apart from picking a name and sticking with it.

EDIT:...and isn't this more of a question than a suggestion!
well it was ment ot be a suggestion but i turned it in to more of a question!

suggestion to make it so your PB would stay with you even when you change name!

But then you'd have to register your copy of the demo with a username and then you'd be given some of the same privileges that people have paid for in S2, but for free.

This is all to do with what should and shouldn't demo users get for free and what incentives are there for them to go and buy S2.

BUT all this has been discussed a billion times, just search.
right ok cheers
All that PB stuff you are seeing on the demo servers are also part of an unofficial addon that someone else created (LFSLapper I think). LFS does not save or report your PB or any stats for the demo.

Just want to point that out as many demo servers do use LFSLapper or other programs and folks probably think it is a part of LFS.
oh right well i new that it didnt record your miles driven and petrol burned etc...but i didnt realise it didnt keep your PB!

lfsworld doesnt record anything for demo users

It seems you have some things mixed up

LFSWorld http://www.lfsworld.net/ is for S2 users only and it's based on your license username, which is the same as the name you use to login to this forum.

LFS Lapper http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=3241 is what you are looking for and it is on the server side. (runs in the backround and displays all these nice messages). It has an option in its cfg file for S2 users to run things depending on their license name,

Quote :
# Whether to use usernames instead of nicknames for authentication of users executing AutoAction.
UseUsernameForAuthentication = true

but for demo users there's no such option either.

So, if you stick to the demo just stop changing your name lol
