need a bitt of advice here chaps,

i carnt log into LFS on the main page plus i havent been able to log into LFS world for some time now...

i have had my UN/PW sent to me by email, so i know ive got the right PW info, funny thing is when i type in my UN then i type in PW but when i click enter or click the log in button more PW stars apear after my curser so its like when i hit enter to log in its putting my PW in AGAIN any ideas, ive cleared cache but no go

I dunno what you should do but that with the stars, some sites does like that and lfs.net is one of them. So that's normal (I guess, since it's the same for me)..

Try emailing the devs too (they've always awnser me very fast so..), lfs.net -> contact us down to the left..

Hope you get it to work (which you should, since the support is great!)

Have you checked whether maybe the ip of the server that hosts the two sites is on some cookie-block list?

or maybe just the hostnames themeslves.

Actually this was happening to me also, while using old mozilla (more asterisks appear in pw field). Had to attempt login 2-3 times until it worked. Now with Firefox some asterisks jump out of nowhere also when I hit enter but login actually works every time.

Only ever seen this on liveforspeed.net, so there must be smth special about it.

When i go onto LFS.net having not been there for a while, i.e. partially logged out. Meaning that my Username is there, but the Password field is filled with asterisks (I mean filled - 32characters).

Therefore when I do log in I have to make sure I completely clear that field as it is very easy to miss a hidden asterisk, or mistake them for your password that you have just entered.

My guess is that the password field hasn't been completely cleared in these cases, but I may be wrong.

yep i can race online fine, i can log into the forums fine but i try to log in at the LFS.net and no go and same with lfs world...

im gona try some of the above and if all else fails ill run round scawns and 3 in the morning and ask him to get me outa this wee jam

edit: strange, it unlocks now... I guess it was the router >.<
