Geez...speechless
Welcome to 2007.

Not exactly, that's the nature of an asymmetrical war, or tipical guerrilla, if you like. The ones with lesser firepower resort to means that are usually criticised by the ones who previously overwhelmed them with a rain of bombs. Read the funny comments about cowardice posted by viewers of those clips, they remind me a lot of people have no brain.

It all goes to explain how america has this amazing propensity to get themselves neck deep in one hopeless war after another, hey?
Quote from Jamexing :It all goes to explain how america has this amazing propensity to get themselves neck deep in one hopeless war after another, hey?

... all the while proclaiming each subsequent war to be a war against evil, or terror, or tyranny, or some other thing that's apparently able to give the strongest and best-armed nation in the world the willies, but each one just ending up with a lot of dead kids and grieving parents from both sides. But it's ok, just declare another spookily Orwellian flag-waving day to distract everyone from all those pesky corpses and everything'll be fine.

So, roadside IEDs detonated from a distance to ambush soldiers or high-explosive bombs dropped at Mach 1 from 30,000 feet against no credible opposition - it's not really clear-cut which method of anonymous murder is the most cowardly.
wow now i saw a "live" car bomb , that must be really scary and then the shooting woooooooow

Not exactly, or better, this is only part of the answer to your question. I just don't think that this particular mentality applies only to the U.S.A., although the conscience of having huge firepower abilities helps a lot.
But this would be a long, troublesome explanation that would hurt the feelings of too many people here and would be just blindly dubbed as antiamericanism. I'm generally fed up of the abysmal ignorance of people who still believe that Al Qaeda had strong ties with Saddam Hussein, there's no use in talking to them, so I'll let the IEDs talk and convince them with the onlly language they understand.
Flag Waving day... If it was a paid holiday, it'd be great!
In the US, on a single flagpole, you're supposed to put the USA flag on top and the state flag below it. I got in trouble in school for raising the flags
the other way around.
You know, that's a pretty pointless proclamation (sorry, no evil empire 1984 crap to be read into it :shrug People that wave flags around here, pretty much do it every day.

You know who waves the most flags around here in the USA? Car dealers.
You go to any new car lot around here and you'll see the American flag as big as a stadium parking lot waving from a pole. Do they do this cause of national pride? LOL fat chance. They do it because most restrictive sign ordinances exclude flags. So it's usually done to attract attention.
But I'm seeing more and more car lots displaying the Mexican flag as well.

Yeah, c'mon guys, stop bringing up governments in threads that deal with international relations! Jeeez!
Careful guys, big brother's watching INTENTLY...

Last time I checked, they regard ALL humans as possible threats to national security.

Well posted Hankstar. You've articulated the futility of war, and the role of fear campaigns and propaganda very well here.
