Old ones yes, but the new ones have 2.0+ liter I4s in the front.
I think the brand new ones have 2.5 liter engines.

Yeah, my Mum has one of the newer ones with the 2.5 litre 5-cylinder, with a 6-speed auto. The engine sounds a bit rough when it's cold (not much better when it's warm!) and the auto box is rediculous, it shifts up before 2000rpm even if you're going up a hill, and is forever changing gears.

Anyway, kind of OT even if this thread is about Beetles! Nice effort with the redesign Elderado

I have no idea! lol But turns out you were right. I just remember hearing about it when it first came out. Actually, I heard a lot about that car when it came out. Everyone was so hyped up about it! Though, it looks quite good if you paint a soccer ball pattern on it!

New Beetles are basically a VW Golf with a different bodyshell. Most of the parts are straight from the Golf.

you should temprorarily change the skin file to all-yellow for a screenshot, assuming you have the replay

since when did the new beetles come out with colour coded rims aswell?Those things look horrible!

The new ones go from 1.4 four-bangers to a 2.5 litre 5 cylinder unit, also with a 1.8 litre turbo.
