Maybe a command to restart LFS and connect to the same server that you were connect to when you entered the command?

For example, if you plug in some input devices whilst LFS is running you need to restart it ... maybe a command to restart LFS would help anyway.

+1 this happens to me all the time with the numerous controllers I use one day and not the next, or don't have something plugged in etc.

its about a 50/50 chance whether my wheel is gonna have ffb on connection or not

You can simply push Shift+C to reinitialize the controllers without restarting LFS, if that is what could solve your problem.

I don't think it is needed. I very often forget to plug the powercord of my FF wheel and the Force Feedback starts instantly even while driving.
