I used to have a white one, but the one i got now kills it.

it would be if he had a clue what he was talking about - unless you do indeed have a 2400 GHz CPU :P
I'm perfectly happy with my AMD 3700@3 GHz/7950GT/1 GB TCCD RAM/22" monitor/G25 combo - it gets all the games i play out on max, and wasn't actually that expensive
An old school amd 64 3700 single core? WOW 3 Ghz thats impressive what have you got the FSB set to? i get my 64 single core 4000+ upto just over 2.8 with a FSB of 228,(i dont want to fry it ) I usually tune up my 7800 (agp) 3d and 2d to around 485mhz, It runs most games pretty well, If you can get 3Ghz i must be able to get 3.1-3.2 at a push
This CPU's limit is 3.07 GHz stably, around 3.1 unstable - 90 nm Athlons don't like going over 3 GHz, and require a LOT of voltage and cooling to go over 3.1
i have similar (AMD 64 3800+ running stock (2.8ghz) and 1.5gb of pc3200 ddr in duel channel mode and an agp 6600GT but that will soon be changed) but i will be upgrading soon because i have seen that dabs are selling 4800+ (duel core) socket am2 for like £80 and 2 gb of ddr2 is less than £70.
they also have a nice nv7600 256mb pci-e (xfx fatal1ty edition http://www.dabs.com/productvie ... 50544,4294957147,42750000) that is the fastest in it's class by 100mhz. two of those bad boys and we'd be sorted
