Single Player start in "GO" screen
While it made sense for Scawen to change the start up so LFS no longer loads a track automatically, It would also make sense to start in the go screen rather than having to choose a track beforehand. I just find it going the long way around to choosing what you want to do, because you may want to race somewhere, look at the car selection, and then halfway through change your mind and have to change the track again. In my mind it just makes perfect sense to choose which track and which car at the same time rather than having to choose which track before you can do anything else.

I've seen someone talk of this before but I don't recall if it was a formal thread, if so I can't find it anymore.

Comments, ideas?
I'm sure most of you will agree that this makes sense more so than the current system.
+1. All the change did was make you click to load a track before doing anything instead of loading one automatically. I'd like to get into single player, and then have to choose a track before hitting go.

Stick my name down for this too.. seems a bit arse about face to me too as it is now.. my normal route would be main game screen -> pick car -> pick track given the choice so landing us on the "go" screen would be more user-friendly / intuitive I think

But then a track would need to be loaded at startup, so -1. Unless the "GO" screen just said "no track selected" or something.
Quote from wheel4hummer :Unless the "GO" screen just said "no track selected" or something.

I think that's the idea

i think that LFS needs a world to be loaded to display the car in the garage, so it would need a bigger rewrite of the code, which i think will not happen...
It could just show no car selected, as it does when you're alone on multiplayer and are a spectator.
Yeah, I brought this up a month or so ago- LFS currently either assumes that we want to race the last selected track (track loads at startup), or assumes that we don't (track selection menu). It would be better if we could somehow make that decision in the single player screen.

So, again... +1
