I remember once when I played the demo before there was an arrow that points backwards to show where the opponent is on the track. It kinda substitute for a spotter.

Was this taken out or did I accidentally mix up LFS with another game?

I can't remember seeing anything like that and I'm glad to say so. Just use your mirrors and keys mapped to the look function to see where opponents are. Anything else would be basically cheating.

I dont see how having a guy saying "inside" to help you avoid a wreck would be considered cheating but oh well thxs for the responce

It is fun and challenging to look around and see where your opponents are positioned. It's also easy once you get used to it. It is also a bit more realistic and immersive than having an arrow pointing around at your opponent or opponent.
