Moderators: I found no appropriate section for my question...If there is one feel to move this post.

I live in Portugal, is there any kind of sales point in Lisbon? Is it possible to buy the game without online money transactions?

Thank you in advance for your answer....

I'm afraid there's no Local sales point for you.

You can make an international money order in your local bank. Register in www.liveforspeed.net, log in and read more from "Buy A License" -page.

edit: Of course you can also ask someone (who is able to pay online) to pay to voucher for you. I'm sure we have plenty of nice Portuguese people here that are able to help you. That's exactly how I got my S2.

Well I'm sorry - but if you want LFS then thats a risk your going to have to take!

You do have a pretty poor excuse!

I think that if i wanted to buy it online i would have already bought it i´ve been tracking this game for a couple of years, but this is not the point...

To me (and it's obvious that we don't know each others) online payment it's a pretty good excuse. Notice that i just made a simple question which has been replied to....I am not asking for a freebie, if there are games which i think are worth buying, this is one...

All that i can say is that if it existed in a shop shelve (cd or not voucher etc..) i already would have already bought it :thumb3d:

Has i said i´ll think it better....and maybe i´ll do my first online transaction...i would really like to have the full game.

xpjames Ps: Your post felt a bit rough but thats ok....:grouphug:

EDIT: Just remembered that some online services can be payed in an ATM. This i think it´s secure and it´s also an immediate payment method...This can be done when the service provider or sale companies have an ATM reference number (don´t know the correct name in English), i would dress up and go PAY :-)

over 30,000 people have bought LFS, including me - it's not a scam.

LOL I´m not suspicious of the LFS scene, just the online transactions themselves

Online transactions are pretty safe as long as you keep your PC clean of viruses and stay away from scam-sites. LFS uses pretty well-known third party institutes, so you are pretty safe there too. Paypal is a pretty comfortable way if you don't have an online-banking account, if you have one giropay is a good way to pay too (because it directly works with your bank).
I can't tell much about credit cards because I don't have any

That was where I was trying to come from

If you want to play a british online game - then you would expect to have to pay online or live in the UK and buy the old fashioned way.

I don't think buying online is any more "unsafe" than buying in a shop, the shop could just as easily be cloning your credit card details and your PIN.

so how come there are only 20000 members of the forum? (inc. demo racers)
Quote from anbiddulph :so how come there are only 20000 members of the forum? (inc. demo racers)

because, the Forum account activates only under these 2 conditions:

1:

A demo racer comes and registers to the forum.

2:

An S1 or S2 licenced racer uses his LFSW username and WEB password to register to the forum.

In other words: If you do have S1 or S2,but never visited LFS forum, you won't be in the forum member count number.Simple.

What that means that there are about 10000 or even more LFS licenced racers who never visited the forum.
I'm always carful with online transactions. you should be. your giving your credit card number to a souce you don't know. in returen for a bit of cash I got the best game in the world!

That's true. Some Romenian gang had replaced pinautomatics in dutch cinema's. People who went to the movie there payed for a lot more then just a movie because they could copy the pinpasses and save the pincodes.

Then pay with an international money order.
Thanks Keptin for reading the rest of the thread...

If I were you, I'd be a lot more suspicious about using my credit card in the shop, or at an ATM. Anyone could be looking over your shoulder to get you PIN and later steal your card.

When you shop on the internet (from trusted businesses) all communication between you and the site is encrypted to a point where, even if someone were listening in on the communication (unlikely in and itself), they wouldn't be able to get at your card number anyway.

Even in the unlikely event you get scammed, VISA (or one of the others) are usually real quick to compensate you for any loss because they want to keep stories of online insecurities out of the news. Online shopping is a complete goldmine to them.

Anyway, as you were.
Yeah pay up for S2. I am going to get S2 this Friday or weekend
LFS+online=fun
Yep I bought it acouple hours ago its safe, I went through Paypal and it was instant.

However, because I accidentally screwed up my game and had to install LFS again after unlocking it.

If my "Unlocks" go to 0, does that mean I lost the ability to play? I still have one left.

Don't worry. You get one new unlock every Friday, up to a maximum of 2.
Even if you don't want to buy online, don't expect LFS to be in stores anytime in the next few years; it is a work in progress, and there has never been such a game put out on shelves that 'isn't complete,' it just doesn't make sense to have an unfinished product on shelves for people to buy, who are most likely completely oblivious to how LFS works, the community, the devs, and so on.

(P.S. this is the correct location for a thread like this)

There's no user on the LFS forum named Keptin. Unless of course you just meant me. I feel flattered that you are giving me attention in every thread which I post in.

Going back on topic, Money orders can be anonymous if you use a false name.
