FJR Setup Collection (Inferno Edt.)
The attached .zip contains some modified FO8 Setups from Team Inferno Setupfield. All Setups comes up with an 'Intake Restriction' of 20% and 'Added Mass' of 70kg. 'Mass position' is always 50%. These modifications are needed to drive the Formula Junior Series cars on the 'CTRA Single Seaters 2' server.

The .zip contains only the latest available WR setups. So maybe you still miss some setups ...

Thanks to Team Inferno and all nice guys who uploaded their WR sets.
Special thanks to you CTRA Dev's for bringing us this funny 'new' car.

Kind regards,
-xdream-

PS: I know, you can download and change the setups on your own or use Becky's new FJR-Tool, but I thought it's worth to share this collection anyways ...

...Beckies FJR tool?

And are these setups tweaked (ie gear ratios etc) for the FJR, or just the intake restriction et al?

How the **** did i miss that?!

No other modifications done yet. I'm not a good setup maker, more a user. No idea what to change ...

ATM I work around the 'Intake Restriction' by pushing the gears to a bit higher rpm as pointed by the 'Manual shift indicator'. Feels faster to me ...

Easiest way is to change the final drive a bit then finish off changing 5th and 6th. Or you could just change final drive, but your 1-4 will be off a bit.
In beta testing most of us put the weight distribution to around 75% as that made the car handle much better with the reduced power. Aside from that a little less downforce and adjustments to gearing for the lower top speed are all that needs doing.
First, without reading a 'Setup-Guide-For-Dummies', I don't have any clue about the final drive and gear ratio stuff.

But thanks a lot for your tips. Will try this 75% Weight Position for now. Let's see if it helps in making the tail more sticky to the ground.

Driving the FO8 is new to me. So I had absolutely NO setup than 'Default' and 'RACE_S'. My intention for posting this collection is to give other 'FO8 Newbies' a handfull 'ready-to-run' FJR setups. So they don't need to do the whole 'Let's see what track is running - download setup from inferno - do the changes on restrictions - and then race' procedure.

The Profs of you don't need them at all, I know about that.
Gearing is the easiest thing to learn how to setup. You want to hit the rev limit on 1/3 race fuel at the fastest part of the track. That defines your top gear. The gears in the middle distribute evenly between that and 1st, and then the complicated bit of adjusting them for particular corners starts, but dont worry about that yet.
sweeping bends, try to adjust a gear right for that bend so you can power through it without needing to change up.
