You can do both of them.
I can’t see why we have to choose what is better for you.
Do whatever you like… the main goal is to have fun.
Racing is far more exiting than “cruising” if you have racers at a close level to compete.
It is not hard to be competitive and stable because you are young and others are older… You just have limited racing experience. Even if you where 20 you would have the same difficulties at the beginning.

I started at that age back in 2002.

Nice avatar!

In my age Drifting have more fun than race, because race is much harder in my age by racing with 20 - 26 year old guy (In Latvian Community, i'm the youngest)

I'm 20. I can beat many 15 year olds, and I lose to many 15 year olds as well. Age means nothing in LFS (aside maybe from maturity). As long as you are mature, and you can keep the car on the track resonably well, race (IF that is what you enjoy!)

Bottom line, do what you enjoy doing most. If you enjoy both, do both.

Don't go there. I know some absolute immature ****s who are 14, 16 and claim to be 42 and all have a mental age of 5. There are also people like Lible who i refuse to believe was 11 when i first saw his posts
Im 16 and ive always been racing since i joined,

its much more fun
and competative

I just love racing at CTRA servers i am just a middelclas driver but i stil have good fights for places
Wrong place to ask imo.

Apart from the drift fan boys, we all hate drifters
I like drifters. It´s nice to have people with different styles together. I had so many fun days here in the forum when it comes to drift or even better OVAL discussions. This silly MY-OPINION-COUNTS-AND-YOU-SUCK mentality some people show here is comedy pure!
Drifting is actually quite the art when done right. It's just all the immature n00bs that crash up servers and attempt to drift and just spin out that give it a bad wrap. Sure, I don't focus my time on perfecting drifting, but I'll rip a few laps around BLR kickin it sidewayz. I really hate how people are commin' down on drifters just because the idiot pre-teens can't control themselves and jump online. Moral of story, if you'r gonna drift, do it RIGHT.

I totaly agree:iagree:
... on the other hand I'm almost 30 and can't drift nor race properly ;-)

I think to be competitive you need to learn both. There is no better show than a good 4-wheel drift in a fast race, and seeing some guys do their show on drift servers is a pleasure as well.
To be honest nowadays there are many many people online who can't race AND drift, and I promise you'd own them even if you were 5 years of age.
My advice is: race and drift as you like, compete, improve and when you've collected some experience and grown some cojones you can maybe go in one direction.

have fun practising!

Ye I am 15 too and I like racing (though im always behind the pack ) and I also drift, yes?
15 is too young to race in a game?

Hmm...
Age shouldn't be a factor in preference of pastimes.

drifting is fun... helps to find the right lines though corners aswell as relive stress that builds up when playing LFS

but it gets annoying when you see kids in fwd xfgs " arab drifting ".

i dont care if you see a bunch of a poor a*******'s from the middle east sliding around on corrollas... just don't give the good drift people of lfs a bad rep please... its hard enough trying to find a server where you dont get wreaked then banned by the admin but with this fwd crazy , its Really annoying

back on topic once more : do what you like.... either learn to drift correctly ( no jerking the car what so ever , drifting is a passive sport )
or just go race... either way Enjoy youself.

lfs is a game
Age doesn't matter at all in a videogame. Besides, nothing is real, who cares if you fail miserably at what you tried? It's not like anything is really at stake.

I saw the threat title and thought "Oh great, some 15 year old rice kiddie wants to know how to get into drifting with his mom's civic"...
