Discovered the ultimate way to be a retard...
...Sitting on the starting grid the guy behind me thought it would be pretty neato to launch and false-start me. On that particular server, false starts get you spectated.

Obviously that was pretty impressive.

Aside from that it was just the usual demolition derby that demo servers are and no other incident really stands out among the others.

That said, when I dodged the battering rams I did quite well
Get S2! Less idiots on there.

God I want to, but money doesn't allow games right now
A couple of times, I've found that my wheel is one turn to left or right instead of centred when I'd started the race, and end up swiping the car next to me as the light goes green..

i tend to disagree theres an even about of noobs everywhere
Ben, you were proved wrong last time.

Stop trying to be Mr. Bold.

I got false started from behind (Hmmmm...) and it gave me a bump, I didnt get spectated but I did get a bloody good start, but the race got restarted

I thought that if you moved far enough from your grid slot you get spectated so you can't push the car in front. Hmm, that's what you said. So how was it possible for him to reach you? Have I misundersood?

I dunno. All I saw was an XFG bearing down on me in the mirror and then like "Spectated - False Start", or something along those lines.
Strange, maybe it was to do with lag. I'm not having a go at you, I just didn't think it was possible, but obviously it can happen

The Spectate False Start feature is on a timer, so he would of had to of been put in spectate , because he rolled of his grid BEFORE you. So it can only be lag, Although, bumping people to give THEM a false start IS possible, but one can only do it, after a certain time, a few moments before Green lights i imagine

I've done that before. Nobody ever believes it either!

im not being bold... its just common fact , theres good and bad racers everywhere... just depends where you look
No, the bad racers just circulate you, because you don't know what the heck you're doing, and instantly think everyone else is awful, because you don't know how to drive and keep crashing into them.
Quote from thisnameistaken :I've done that before. Nobody ever believes it either!

If you use look steer, you'll never do that, as you'll be looking at the wing mirror instead of out the windshield.
I just witnessed someone get it. I don't know what the timer is set at but they move quick.

Then you get the really cool guys who find the need to ram ya at every opportunity. I held him off for a while but when he put me in a wall he got by. Looked to me like he tried to take someone else out but he went down with them and I pulled a nice drift + honk past him for the win

He used "rubbing is racing" as an excuse. As punishment he never got close enough to hit me for the next two races
Quote from Bob Smith :If you use look steer, you'll never do that, as you'll be looking at the wing mirror instead of out the windshield.

I don't use look steer, because the amount and direction I turn my head is not proportional to how far the wheel is turned in RL.

If I used look steer I'd crash at every corner, and then I really would look like a wrecker. Problem's solved now anyway - I turned my rotation down.
Quote from thisnameistaken :I've done that before. Nobody ever believes it either!

Same and I even made a serious suggestion for some kind of warning if you were sitting on the grid with your wheel significantly not straight (which nobody believed was a serious suggestion ).

Bah, you quitter. I've done that once and learned not leave my wheel in weird positions.
Look to apex is the best invention ever, its what you would do in real life, you wouldn't just stare 0 degrees out of the windscreen, you look into the apex'. It's a nice feature for drifting too

glad im not the only person to have done that.
On the grid, if you turn the wheel fully left, fully right and then center it, it'll always point straight! You should do this with a controller aswell (trust me on that one!)

They meant they have a G25 or a DFP, so that they have the wheel turned 360 degrees to the right or left when they start, without noticing it themselves.
