Can be added a skid practice layer on Autocross parking? I think this coul be very interesting for young drivers and their snow skills with real car.
This white slippery layer cold be great winter bonus.
Would be awesome, but I think that when weather is impletended it can be done like this, rain = slippery road. But thats most likely not to come before around S3.
That kind of skidpad is nothing like driving on snow or icy tarmac, grip is very on/off like where you got plenty of grip until you push it too far and it just snaps out, but with fast correction the grip returns really quickly aswell. On heavy snow or ice the feeling is much more smoother and grip doesn't return so quickly.
I didnt require water. Only slippery layer. I know it is more slippery then snow. But you can train your reflexs in small speed when you have enought time. An LFS is good simulator. This could be very usefull in real life.
He's saying that the whole concept of a slippery racing surface due to water, ice, snow, rubber, oil, or whatever will come in one leap which LFS will take a while to make.
It should be only new type of surface with differen parameters. Grass is slippery too. On Autocross track are used only 2 or 3 (i think) types of road surface. On rallycross tracks is this number bigger. It not have to be so hard.
Hehe, I don`t know, I`m not making the game
But I belive it would be fairly hard to implent that into a game, and I don`t remember there is anything like that in other games eighter
The difficult part is that the parameters are dynamic. I'm sure (well I hope at least) when we finally get rain in LFS, the intensity is going to vary just like in real life. Different depths of standing water in different areas of the track, puddles on the racing line, a stream crossing the track at a big dip, and widely varying dispersal rates / rooster tails depending on which types of cars are running.
And just imagine the possibility of widely varying racing lines due to rubber/oil/water/etc. on the normal line. A sudden downpour causes the "karting line" around the outside of T1 to become viable and you can overtake other cars as though they're standing still. Something to truly separate the good drivers from the great ones.
I agree but i am asking for slippery area with constant parameters. Somethink like a grass without bumps. You see it much complicated than is necessary.
