Can't download my earlier lap racord
Hi,
does anybody knows how can I downlad my earlier lap racord? At CTRA site I can only download replay files with current lap records. Please help, it's very important!
Thanks!
if you haven´t saved the replay yourself, there´s no possibility to get the replay from ctra.

the replays are saved for a few days (because of the immense space they use... 401 races a day). after that, they will be
deleted from the ctra-server.

I gave Becky some new SQL code to use in one of the X-apps a few days ago, and lap record replays will be permanently stored from now on. We've calculated that in the worst-case scenario, permanently storing every lap record (even beaten ones) would consume around 10GB of space, and so we've made allowances for that on the server

10GB?! Holy shit!

And tell me, how many new reports are you getting in on one day? Sorry for going off topic, but I`ll bet that`s a insanely high amount.

It works out at an average of just over 6 reports per day
The current replay archive is something like 8gb i'm told. So clearly there will come a time when we start to remove old replays - probably just the dismissed ones. However with the cost of storage these days its probably cheaper to buy a new hard disk than to spend time coding extra functionality into old features.

The fact we delete replays at all isnt what i'd like to have, i'd like to archive every race and offer full statistical analysis of it, but that becomes a huge amount of data very quickly.

However it was always the intention to keep replays of lap records [since the concept was raised a little while ago], the fact the system wasnt doing that was a mistake on my part. I spotted it recently and got some updated code from Sam to fix it and thats been live a little while now.
