hitting f9, f10, f12 also to tuggle hud (shift-f) when disabled
here's a little one, i guess it's not a priority but still a good suggestion imho.

i usually race with the hud toggled off (shift-f) however from time to time i like to have a quick peek at the tyre temps, etc. The problem is that i first have to hit shift-f, then f9 to bring the tyre temps up.

it's great that the hud "remembers" that i brought the f9 menu up, so i can toggle the views by just using shift-f once its enabled - however just hitting f9 with the index finger would be easier then trying to hit the shift key with my index finger and the f key with little pinkie! (yeah i obviously keep the keyboard to the right when racing.)

I would like lfs to automatically show the hud when i hit one of the function keys, and hide everything again when i hit the key once more.

(my wheel only has 6 buttons and they're all reserved ... )

Absolutely same here, 6 wheel buttons, usually use SHIFT+F.
I think it sounds like a good idea. While I personally race with the HUD on because I like seeing the split times, it is visually distracting. It would also be nice to be able to assign a button to bring up the race order, at that point, I'd just race with the HUD off, and bring up the race order when I need it.
I use Shift-F too, I'd like to be able to edit the hud display further though, so that if I want to I can keep the map visible, or the running-order, but get rid of the other stuff and not have to shift-f when I want to check those things.
