The online racing simulator
#1 - Mako.
What a nice old trick! Bwahahaha!
Ok, so I was looking at the archives at people computers and setups (desk/wheel/etc.) because my desk is pissing me off, and I want to get a new table...and stubled upon this post:

I saw "OMP race seat, and "Fresnel" lense... so I searched the latter, and found this:

As I got to:

Quote :The scene will cover out to your peripheral vision. I've seen grown men recoil from playing Quake in this way saying that it's just too intense to handle. Some people who are prone to motion sickness may experience what simulation experts call "simulator sickness" due to the heightened realism.

I began to gigle uncontrollably like some deranged lunatic, and thought to myself, I am SO doing that!

Seriously, this is really nothing new, but how many of us knew about doing stuff like this? I'm gonna try it, and if I like it, I will use the new monitor as the main one, and use my 15" LCD panel as the fresnel lense experiment! Wish me luck!
There's a sub-forum on RSC dedicated to building your own sim cockpit. MANY people on there have experimented with fresnel lenses in single and triple-screen setups. Go there for inspiration and ideas.
