12 February After a tough decision we have now selected the 16 Nations to compete in the 2008 LFS World Series.
We are pleased to invite these 16 countries into the first season of this ambitious new series, it certainly hasnt been an easy decision to make, however they were each selected because they have a high signup count, a good standard of driving ability, and include a wide mixture of countries from around the world. This we believe will be the basis of what we hope will become a successful series which in time will expand to include many more countries in the future.
We have also created a reserve list of countries who may be called upon at some point in the series. Should a spot become available, the drivers from their countries signup area will be contacted and offered an invite into the remaining season.
Reserve List
To the drivers from countries not participating, we hope to invite you in future seasons, however with this being the inaugural season we wish to keep things to a smaller scale than the series aims to acheive in the future. This is to ensure everything runs smoothly and check the format will be successful for a future we hope will including as many countries as we receive interest from, so we hope that everyone understands and respects our reasons for starting the season like this.
As the saying goes, from tiny acorns mighty oak trees grow.
We will be moving our subforums over to LFSWorld Series new Forum for Nations to have their own private Subforum. So you vote on Team Manager and begin the your teams organisation for the start of the season.
Electing Team manager
Each Nation must elect a team manager, with your own organisation, whether is be poll ect. Team managers must be announced to the series admins (special thread will be provided)by the 22nd February.
LFS World Series Website
The series official website will be opened fairly soon, and can be located at the following URL: http://www.lfsworldseries.net/
The username & password used for the official forum will also work for you on this website too, should you wish to access any additional features.
Race Start time added to initial post
Start time will be 21 UTC, this should make it more managable for Australian drivers, while keeping things do-able for Eastern Europe.
