Hello, for some reason when i was playing a game, i just left the PC, turned it off. Then when i came back when i try to turn it on, the pc loads up and everything, vista comes up with its little loadinng thing, then after that, it just all goes blank. I've even tried doing it on Safe mode, does the same thing.
any help please? by the way nothing is in the CD drive.

Taken off any overclocking, was it overclocked?

I'd just check all the cables, I had a similar problem with XP, turned out to be a dodgy SATA cable.

No, in all seriousness though, try re-seating the RAM, and perhaps the CPU. Also, check that the CPU is being cooled correctly. Sounds almost like in the time it takes to boot to that point, your CPU may be getting too hot?

Other causes may be corrupt files in the registry - but IDK, or loose wires, or maybe even a bad PSU?

How high exactly were your overclocks?

Something could have been corrupted when shutting down. Did you shut it down properly? Let it save the settings..etc?

No overclocks were on.

As a matter of fact i didn't shut it down properly. By i am going to download a vista CD, and try do repair.

What are you running it at and what ARE the temps? Just out of curiosity.

2Ghz, 34C load temps, but i put loads of fans in my case

To turn an overclock off I would have thought you had an overclock on.

Last I heard, you were running VERY hot at 3GHz, are you using stock cooling? You should get one of these coolers to keep it at a low temprature while overclocked.

They're overpriced for what they do. Get a Thermaltake Ultra 120 Extreme and a decent 120mm fan to mount on it and you've got one of the best air coolers around, for not much more than that Zalman.

Huh? What did I do?
The last CPU I overclocked was a Pentium 3 back when you still had to use f*cking jumpers to do it - I'm not qualified to give advice on stuff. And I've never used Vista, so I can't help with that either.

So other than boggle, I did notheeng!
