Quote from Hyperactive :Out of fuel

Or so they say.

If Ferrari don't get their act together, head office might have to arrange some Mafia heavies for "security".
Quote from xaotik :Best of reliability.

Haha, it looks like the right front broke under cornering before he even hit anything

(anyone remember how the BF1 was before it got fixed? :tilt

I think you're right - the right wheel looks like it goes out of whack as soon as he's into the left hander - there was something scarily wrong with both sides of the suspension for it to crumble like that.

If you remember, his suspension crumbled when he hit Massa in Melbourne.

The Red Bulls banned from the Malaysian GP, anyone ?
worse than that is that bourdais killed another ferrari engine during the first few minutes of fp2
Quote from Bourdais :"Unfortunately, this afternoon, we had a gearbox problem right at the start, after a ratio change and this error on our part broke the engine. The car seemed not too bad this morning and we were planning to see how it felt on different tyres this afternoon, but it was not to be.”

... is that careful phrasing or the truth? Hmm!
Quote from deggis :Amount of crashes doesn't equal to great race. Of course it was enjoyable and good "show", at least there was something going on all the time but not what it should be.

I wasn't talking about the crashes. There were quite a few good overtakes, only some of which were seen on ITV's coverage. And all the minor mistakes which didn't result in crashes and safety cars, too.
Quote from Mustafur :
If it rains watch out for Redbull and Torro Rosso.

Shouldn't that be:

If it rains, Red Bull should watch out for Toro Rosso..
Quote from hyntty :Shouldn't that be:

If it rains, Red Bull should watch out for Toro Roso..

Hmm, true indeed.
Some forecasts say that it should rain in a couple of minutes, whereas others don't...it's going to be interesting for sure.

EDIT: "Prediction: no rain in the next minutes".

Aww...

Sounds like there's so much moisture in the air, it could happen very unexpectedly. I see dark clouds, so I reckon something will probably fall out of the sky soon..

Could be.
Eep, I smell a stewards investigation on Ferrari, McLaren for possibly blocking Nick Heifield and Alonso, while they were at their saving fuel phase, while the two drivers were having one last fast lap in qualifying.
i dont think there will be any penalties for that. but a new rule of sorts to keep cars going faster at the end of their quali laps for future races. would be VERY surprized to see any of them getting a penalty.

I hope it rains there for the race. its always good fun in the rain and its when buttons at his best.
It's that awful qualifying system. That 3rd part is just accident waiting to happen

---
All props to Massa. He really blowed away the opposition. From finnish point of view it looks pretty nice although 1-2 would have been great. Maybe Kovalainen has a bit more fuel than Haemitlon just like in Melbourne

Hope it rains tomorrow
They really oughtn't be on the racing line (as one of the McLarens was) when they're going that slowly, regardless. Certainly cost Heidfeld some time when he had to quickly angle back out to brake.
Quote from DeadWolfBones :They really oughtn't be on the racing line (as one of the McLarens was)

that much i will agree with.. and those 2 that were on the racing line COULD get a penalty. but i think they will be ok.. we will wait and see.

Yep, it's quite scary to see so many slow cars on track while there are still drivers doing qualifying laps.
I hope the FIA won't wait for an accident to happen...

This Q3 is a non sense to me as it's all about race strategy while the battle for pole position should be about pure performance only.
The whole race-with-the-fuel-you-have-left is just crazy. Qualifying should be a show of outright performance. The super-slow in-lap is an accident waiting to happen, IMHO.

Anyway, here are the qualifying results:

Anyway, here are the qualifying results:

...

Nakuhima is 22nd because of his grid penalty for hitting Cubika in Melbourne

Vettel wasn't that hot after all although getting into Q2 is defenately good effort in that car...
massa nearly a second faster than hamilton... looks like someone is going to pits early...
Quote from DevilDare :massa half a second faster than his team mate... looks like someone is going to pits early...

I agree
