Since there will be quite a few threads popping up with new car releases and concept cars in the coming months, I thought why not put them all in one thread so people can find them more easily.

Just post up pictures, videos, or comments about any new cars or concept cars.


I will kick things off with this, which is a concept of what a new Alpine car could look like, its not official and its only a render, but they really need to give the guy who made this a promotion...

It has alot of strong design feature I agree, but It would be hard to avoid critics saying it looks too much like at R8. since for an Alpine the position of the front wheel should be a bit more forward, the cockpit "bubble" should be narrower. the front light assembly should be more concentrated to the center as well. First to echo the rear end design (which I think is very good), second the old Alpine's feature is a narrow body with wide flared arches, if you bring the light outwards it would pretty much blend the wheelarch and front bumper into one, and lost that alpine signicture.

should get rid of the silver accent in the middle to, it's not bad but if a car so popular as the R8 has done it not long ago, you really should avoid doing something similiar.

so in short change the bumper fender relation, front light assembly, wheel position and roof line.

your wrong, it looks like a melted r8

Not too keen on the round things at the front (headlights ?) but other than that i think it looks fantastic. Soo much better than the R8. Much more symmetry to the overall design, even that aluminium strip looks good. Lets hope they make it.

As far as new cars go, i'm (rather predictably) really looking forward to a couple of new Maseratis being released in 2009.

All pics are just artist impressions at the mo, but a few heavily disguised mules have been seen doing the rounds on the streets of Modena recently. But if they look even half as good as these photos i'll be a very very happy little mazzerfan

I really hope it looks like that first one, that looks fantastic.

@ATC: looks like a cross from an r8 and a holland car thats name i dunno now.
