Yea i race "toy cars" ive noticed a few of our racers play LFS.

A
Cool I used to race 10 years ago before I moved to Canada from England. Here's the car I used to race, Tamiya TA-03. They would be MILES away from competitive for racing today (although I could still whip some n00b ass with it, haha!), heck they weren't even all that fast when I raced 10 years ago! But there is interest from drifters in these cars as they are front engined and have a good weight distribution for drifting. I put this car up for sale online recently and had enquiries from across the province, from Eastern Canada, from California, and from the UK! I ended up selling it locally, but a 2nd chassis I had ended up going to Cali...

The TA03 was cool, and would have been a fine choice around here if the hobby shops supported Tamiya. I do recall a meathod of turning those Tamiya cars into twin motor rockets. I think it was a combination of TA02-03 parts As long as the local shop had parts in stock, you were in good shape. For me, this meant Associated, HPI, and Traxxas. Losi too, untill they changed distributers.

Those were some fun days. Bashing with an old XXT and Traxxas Rustler. Later racing a RC10 TC3. That was a cool machine, bought it as soon as it was released, then replaced with a factory team version. I got out right about the same time that the T-Maxx was getting popular.
I use to have an old original beat up Associates RC/10T from the early 90's.

I traded it for a computer so I could continue playing LFS

My other hobbies are photography (just got into it slightly), guitar (just started 3 weeks ago), and RC flying which is at a standstill because I had a fatal crash and smashed it into pieces. No money to replace it, even though it was a cheapie RTF.

As far as I can recall you used two front-ends with engines, one on the front and one on the back. Then of course made sure they were driving both pairs of wheels in the same direction Damn, maybe I should have done that instead of selling the two chassis I had!

I am in the same situation with my heli I really need to get it out again and figure out exactly what I need because I miss flying it!

Toy cars sucks
I dont race it, but i have a XT-2 Nitro RC buggy, 1/8th scale. I love it to bits, and its really tough. I have'nt used it in a long time though, so i think i should get it going again, as it' fun to use.
The body of my real car is completely plastic, except for the trunk and hood. It's basically like a toy car!

nobody told you to drive a toyota prius
I used to race a TT-01 completely stock, though only on gravel, because on anything else it'd just understeer into a tree. Shoddy chassis, though it was always good fun disconnection the front drive shaft so it was RWD. You couldn't apply the brake or it'd end up spinning around and crashing into a tree.

Anyone who has seen me race will recognise the paintjob, the number plates have LFS logos on them, in an attempt to advertise the game a touch.
My hobby, when I get the chance, is rally driving.

This is me going around a hairpin on a wet and miserable junior academy day, junior because I am under 17
