Is there a possibility to actually create realistic turbopressure? It has been bothering me for quite some time now.


Lets take the XR GT Turbo:
What happens is that the turbopressure is at max at about 6000 rpm, which is completely unrealistic, since in real life a turbo in such a (road) car would be at max pressure at around 2500-3000 rpm, stays that way to when the turbo cant keep up anymore and slowly drops pressure.

WOuld something like this be possible?

This is getting horrible... Use the search button... I've seen this similar subject quite a couple of times.

I'm sure the dev's have it in their to-do list or have thought of doing it in the past. But people are asking for so much that they do it by order of priority and what's most important first I believe.

why don't you just not read the post if it annoys you?

I never said it annoys me. I'm saying that some people are posting useless threads which are spamming the forums.

Did I not give my opinion in my post about the subject?

tbh i think the XRGTR needs an entirely new engine. its by far my choice of car because of the layout however the engine absolutly sucks. it sounds like a bunch of crap and the amount of times ive been caught out by the boost. getting 490bhp from a 2.0 @ <6krpm is always going to be trouble.

maybe swap it for a 3.0 V6?

As the whole point (I believe) of the GTR-class cars is modifying the road cars, and therefore the engines they already had - simulating homologation, I presume - no, you're probably not going to get a three-litre V6 in the XR GTR.

The turbo modelling is a known and very well documented issue, and one which will eventually be improved. This is by no means the first thread on the topic, and won't be the last either, unfortunately - searching is the way forward.

For the record, maximum boost in the XR Turbo can be attained at 4500rpm.

i understand that but im sure people would much prefer to have a decent GTR car instead of just being able to say 'o this is just a modified XR'. really annoying,

In my opinion, we already have three 'decent' GTR cars. But there you go, such is life, some people find it annoying that we don't have motorbikes or police cars in LFS but that doesn't mean they're high on the to-do list either.

Now you know the reasoning behind the XR GTR being the way it is, I'm sure it'll be easier to bear
