help! audio/electronics problem
I get a static/hissing sound from my HI-FI speakers which are connected to a notebook that plays my music. After a while sometimes the hissing sound will dull or even stranger if i give a hard tap(punch)the speaker itself the sound will dull for a moment. I understand earthing and circuits being equalized/neutral is important to sound systems, is this my problem(both aren't attached through earth)?

it's very annoying hisssssssssssssssssssssssss
Does this happen with all of your speakers? Or just one?
Is it turned up too high? Does it only happen with the laptop? How are they connected to the laptop?

If it were just normal interference/noise, then hitting them shouldn't make a difference though.
Depends how hard you hit it

Yeah totally, hit it really hard and no more sound, problem solved.......I suggest using a ruddy big hammer.
Sound Card is ok?
Newest drivers (for mainboard too)?
