No, I'd agree that around somewhere like Cadwell some of the quicker superkarts would probably be slightly quicker than me. But not many professional drivers ever race them, because they move onto proper cars much earlier. But I doubt ANY kart Alan or AMB has ever driven would be quite as quick around a car circuit. They do exist, but I don't think they'll have driven them.

Was it Arechee (sorry, I can't remember how it's spelt) who used to race something very similar to superkarts?

Alan never did post any info on the karts he referred to though... Shame, as it had the potential to be a sensible conversation, even if he still helps children into 6hp karts for the first time.
*shrug* there's some damned fast karts around because some people like to race karts and have truly limitless budges. There's some damned slow single seaters around because some people are trying to break into racing and [relatively] cheap formula car cater for them. I dont see why they need comparing, they're not even targetted at the same type of competitor.

If you want to race big cars it makes sens to get out of karts as soon as possible, if you love karts for what they are (easy to store, ludicrously fast accelerating [tiny wheels!], requiring no big car trailer on your drive [assuming you have one] etc etc) then race them. If you want Lewis' job because your not so stupid you dare to overtake a car painted red right infront of the stewards box, then go race big cars.

Race whatever series offers good racing for the money you are prepared to sink into the bottomless pit of motorsports.

I raced karts because I had no aspirations about becoming the next F1 champion, I never moved on, I liked them and only recently got a house with a drive... I didn't have the funds to race super karts so I stuck to cheap ones. Does that meen I "only" raced lowly karts? No, it meens I love motor sports and raced what I could when I could because the sport runs through my veins and because when i'm on track and racing it's one of the few times in my life I feel totally focused and content.

I really couldn't care what other people think of the karts that I raced in comparison to their own choice.
Quote from AMB :Most people on this forum are 'hard' you see, they feel safe behind their pc acting all tough, it's everywhere on the internet, and you meet them in real life and there nice as pie, but if you say what you think to their face it means your a chav see, people label me as a chav cause I may sound like one act like one or whatever, but I label most people on this game as nerds who need to get some e-pussy, and stop throwing handbags at eachother, another silly thing is everyone will flame me now, o well here it comes......

Edit: I actually support Intrepid, only because I usto race karts, and I know how fast they are, due to the fact of how light they are, i'd reckon they would beat Tristans, it's funny how because people own something they think it's thebest thing in the world.

Innit mush!

I dont think people are trying to look hard, why would they? not asif your going to go toe to toe with them anyway. Just the mere fact that people are too argumentative on here and take stuff to heart too quick. If people want to argue do it via PM, i cant be assed getting the enigma out everytime i want to read through a interesting thread.

Anyway, those Superkarts are damned fast, heres a quote from Wiki

Quote :Though its 2-stroke 250cc engine is small and produces only 95 hp (67 kW), it has 360 hp/l and 0.19 hp/lb (450 hp/tonne), which is higher than a Chevrolet Corvette. As such, Superkarts can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h)[4]. Their low weight and good downforce make for staggering cornering and braking abilities. A Superkart is capable of braking from 100 mph (160 km/h) to standstill in around 2 seconds, and taking corners at nearly 3 g (30 m/s²).

At some circuits, Superkarts are the outright lap-record holders, at others they run at around Formula 3 lap times.

Yeah lol, I think i'm getting like them, I type stuff without thinking and it always lands me in trouble, but all I can is, it's only a game, don't take it too serious and i'll give some advice to these forum addicts, get out more, I usto be in on LFS and play it for 6hrs+ a day, now I hardly get a race in, usto be addicted or something, but at the end of the day no one on here will become an F1 driver from being the best, i just see lfs as more of a fun thing to do now and not my life, especially since college :lovies3d:

Anyway Gary, you should get on MSN lol, do you still race much? and stil with pm?
