It's probably been done before and it's probably posted somewhere but I've figured it out for myself.
After seeing the Antec 1200 review and how they have put the fan switches on the front mesh I was going to try the same thing, cutting a small hole in the mesh and gluing the switch in place.
Instead I took out the hard drive cage, un-bent the hooks holding the switch wire in place (bend them back after) then when you slide the hard drive cage back you just hold the wire flat to the cage, keeping the switch on the outside and slide the cage back in.
You should be able to push the wire back so that the switch sits nicely on the outside of the case just like in the picture.
The rear fan switch I just feed through the water cooling holes, same for the side panel fan. Can't do anything for the top fan
