Is there any way to change the AI skill level?

It is possible to change almost everything (track, cars, laps, wind…) with InSim packets or /command, but no way to change AI skill level.

Any idea?

when u re in the single player screen, where u can change wind and so on... above "add ai driver", u can change the ai skill level

I don't think there is, what I'd do is add an air intake or weight restriction to your car. I would not say that racing the AI is an LFS strongpoint though, infact it is a quite horrid experience and the AI buggers should be on the wreckers barricade list.
