We are now two weeks out from Round 2 of the season, and one week out from the first qualifying session. Some notices:
Some comments:
Last race we noticed several "gray area" issues, so let me address them here:
1. GT2 drivers on server during GT1 qual, and vice versa. We saw several GT2 teams (iirc, around 4 or 5) join the server after the GT1 qual had "ended," but before all teams had completed their last hotlaps. In the future please wait until all GT1 teams have crossed the line after the end of qualifying and the session is officially over. You will know it is over because an admin will announce "Session complete." (If you're watching via remote, that is.)
2. Names. The rules are very clear about how names should be formatted. Please follow them to the letter.
3. Lapping. This goes to both classes. Please be as considerate as possible when lapping/being lapped. This is difficult on even the most open tracks, but especially hard at South City. Remember that it is nearly always more efficient and less costly to both the lapping car and the lapped to let the lapping car go as quickly as possible. Whatever you do, do not deviate drastically from your line as the lapping is happening. Once you pick a line, stick to it until the maneuver is completed. Lapping cars, please avoid divebombing if at all possible.
Thanks!
- The race logo for this round is nearly ready, and should be released to teams early this week.
- There will be no layout at South City barring a pole at the end of the pit exit lane.
- Rules changes will also be released early this week.
