I couldn't find an "un-improvement" forum

Silly perhaps, but i've been thinking about this for a while and it kind of bothers me

I feel lfsworld is a major part of an lfs license, it just adds so much value, all this may be a bit far fetched but..
It's perfectly possible to create an "lfs-demo-world", insim apps on demo hosts using a central server, even auto
skin download would be pretty simple to do, this bothers me

I don't know any other game demo that's as "complete" as the lfs s2 demo, i know players that spend significant time every day,
and still stay in demo for months and months. I can't think of any other demo that's achieved this.
So, also getting access to statistics is another reason for these players to just stay being a demo racer.

Someone just checking out the lfs demo wouldn't really be put off by the fact there's no statistics on demo servers, i think

To summarize, even without an "lfs-demo-world", the demo is almost too good, and getting even more thru insim - imho - is too much.
I totally agree! I'm S2 licenced for example, yet still sometimes go visit demo servers for some XFG classics. What I really hate on demo servers is the fact I have to change my cool team skin for some default colors. This funny detail is very often the main reason I quit the demo server and go (desperately) searching for some XFG race on S2 servers.

Also an insim apps showing detailed statistics and presenting them in such a cool way like "Great 1st split by RAYfighter!" are something which should be denied for demo servers.

Summ it up: any features which help making demo servers a permanent fun and the place where you can built up your racer carreer should be removed.
I think that the demo shouldn't have insim/outsim or outguage. Simple as that.
meh
You are not t gonna force people to buy the game. i for one don't even use any of that stuff and i don't think many do. alot of the Demo people are drifters so it dosent really matter to that group. Instead of thinking of stuff to take away think of stuff to improve.
Why should The devs improve a game for a bunch of non-paying freeloaders? If you want improvements you should spend the $ and buy S2.

Actually, they pay £, 24 to be precise.

In fact, the demo can lose BL RallyX or the car park, and the XRT. It should be 28 day time limited, and 1 car.

Because it's their sim, and they want to?

Every now and again, we seem to have these flurries of resentful posts towards the demo drivers, because they got something they didn't have to splash out any money for. In any other walk of life, it strikes me that we celebrate people who do philanthropic things, but in LFS it's wrong? I don't honestly get it.

I know what you're saying and I agree, but please take into account some demo racers' posts too - that is exactly the behavior which should get your critics as well. They still don't wanna understand that they can play thanks to developers and paying players. THANKS to them. Words like "haha I'm never gonna buy it, i'm not that stupid" are sad. Quite more than these resentful posts, right?

I do hear what you're saying. I figure since I bought S2, I've never had to listen to the "haha I'm never gonna buy it. I'm not that stupid" since. Fortunately, I never will have to. Not until they eat their own words and join me on an S2 server. By then, they'll have paid for it and won't be able to claim they're not stupid enough to pay for it any more

But really, if they have attitudes like that, do we WANT them in S2? That's a rhetorical question, I guess, because the answer must surely be that we don't.

One minor point.. I don't think we've paid for demo players to play. I think we've only paid for licences for ourselves to be able to play S2. It's a matter of perspective, I guess.
