MAybe someone he knows has brain cancer or a head tumor or something, I honestly understand where he's coming from, maybe there should be a censor option on the game you can enter a list fo words into to block them out?. I wouldn't want my son on here with people's offensive names.

how on earth is headcancer offencive name? Look more widely people, it does not have to mean that "cancer" he probably meant something that eats your brains literally (like some people call sort of music headcancer), so cmoon don't be such a morons and get insulted by every f***ng word in the word, seriously, i'm getting pissed off here...!!!!!!!!!grow up kids!

My grandad died of cancer, people I know have cancer, it still doesn't offend me... It's not like the guy is doing it to personally offend me, if I thought that, it would be stupid because I know the guy doens't know me, so to get offended is arrogant in thinking that someone is out to get you with an insult.

I don't think this nickname is offensive, but in some servers there are people with nicknames a lot worse than that. For instance, the one I've seen was GO F*CK YOURSELF IN THE *SS YOU *SSHOLE but written in portuguese (it's really a lot smaller nickname in portuguese so it can be written within the character limit). And the guy was a wrecker too . Since the server didn't have votekick/ban allowed and there was no admin online, everyone got out of the server and he stayed in there for a couple more minutes. It was a demo server, and I know "S2 servers aren't like that", but imagine someone who has just downloaded the demo and went to a server where a guy like this one was wrecking everyone and using abusive nicknames and chat.

I agree that there should be a nickname filter, but just for the worst terms (not like filtering "head" or "cancer" ).

That's not offensive in any way. I really don't see the issue - There are far far worse and even so, it's incredibly rare that I take offence to anything, as long as it's not racist.

I'm sorry if I come across as rude here, but the internet is full of swearing, porn and adverts. If you have an real problem with any of them, it's probably best you didn't use it! It's often a place where people relax and stop being 'serious', unfortunately everything is offensive, to at least one person in the world, somewhere.

Well, i don't think the attached nick is that bad, but more importantly, there IS an insim available that checks your driver name and will not allow you to change it to anything that could be deemed to be offensive.

For example, i was on a server and wanted to change my racer nick to 785 super noob, but when i set the name i could not join the race, and was given a warning for an innapropriate name. I then tried to use n00b, and then no0b, and still the same, nd i recieved a kick on the 3rd attempt.

What i am saying is, i guess this insim, whatever it is, must be configureable (is that even a word??) so that the person or persons running the server insim can choose what words are allowed and which words are not.
