+1

I see this kind of names too, and sometimes pretty often.
Quote from ATC Quicksilver :Most people in this forum would find the file type you posted more offensive than that racers nickname.

+1, seriously.
Anyways, idc about the file i posted, did it quickly...

But back on topic, I realize that names containing a disease or anything else for that matter are looked different at by other religions, cultures and countries.

for example:
In Dutch speaking countries it is very insulting to say "get cancer" or only the word "cancer" in a shouting/insulting manner to someone.

In my school if you're heard in class saying "cancer" you're being kicked out of the class and it's being reported to the year coordinator.

And maybe there are even more countries where this is the case where i don't even know the name off.

It's a cultural matter i think, and each and every oppinion should be respected.

Biology classes must be quite short if you get kicked out for mentioning diseases, and Cancer is also a star sign, so if you're into astrology I guess you are not allowed to talk about it in your country. Maybe it's more acceptable to talk about in other countries, but as long as it's not directed at anyone or used to hurt other people I don't see why you have an issue with it.

But the thing is, I rarely talk sense since it's so not fun!

your avatar is frightening

and anyone who would find headcancer offensive is just being a Politically Correct overeacting sillybilly
See, everyone takes offence to something.

I dont think so

What kind of human being names himself/herself as crabhead? ... Yes, everyone could do it but ... i dont know ... I think i just failed
Are you seriously saying you get so worked up over written text that you want Scawen to waste time on implementing a profanity filter?
Ever thought of simply ignoring stuff you don't wanna read?

I'm actually more offended by pixelation, bleeping etc., I want uncensored original content and I don't see any reason for censorship anyway, except for extreme violance which can be hard to cope with, especially for children.

Anyway, as a thinking human being, what you make of any input is up to you and for text, I personally think a profanity filter is a pathetic solution.
Getting my messages asterisk-ified just because they contain potentially offending words is what I find offensive.
Bring out the pixel police +1 yay =) real police work on LFS needs we some adjustment to Dx10. etc blah bling

You can't really make a profanity filter that pleases everyone. Someone thinks sh!t is offensive, and 20 ppl will turn around and say - "that's not offensive, I say it all the time." Just ask brataccas - king of profanity.

I find ur avatar offensive. haha.
Solution to offensive nicknames: Don't look at them.
