Copernic was wrong, the LFS evidence
Now it's obvious, Copernic and Gallileo were wrong, earth isn't sun orbiting.

If it was, all those moon related threads (asking for a progress reports or patches) would all be written in the same day (or at least in the same week)
You can see why here : http://www.opencourse.info/ast ... /04.motion_moon/month.gif

But this isn't true, you can see that here nearly every day.

IMO, sun and moon are earth orbiting, so the full moon phase day depends on the time zone where you live , and that's the reason why these threads come more than once a month
:ices_rofl
What?
I think. But this is only a guess, he was trying to be funny. And I think I understand what he was trying to say . . .

I think. That he was on about the frequency of posts like these even though everyone is saying it will be months before we hear anything . . . .

I think.

Actually.

What?

Copernicus . . . it has an 'us on the end. If you want to use his Original Polish name then You need to 'K' it. Mickolaj Kopernik. He actually latinized his name, so Nicolaus Copernicus is correct.

And.

Galileo Galalei wasn't particularily a moon man. He looked at it quite a bit, proving that it wasn't a perfect spher and pretty much got himself condemned as a heritic for his trouble, but he didn't actually do a huge amount of science to do with the moon. He was an observer of the heavens with his new fangled telescopic thingy discovering jupiters moon, the clouds of venus and sunpsots to name but a few. He was a mathemetician and curiously a medic (At least he studied medicine) He did more to advance gravity, fulcrums and velocity than anything to do with the moon.

Sorry. Pet subject. Just like people to be correct when it comes to history of science.
Yes I was trying to be funny, but it seems I've failed.

Yes it's about the frequency, but not for the posts saying it'll be month before a progress report.
It's on all these threads asking for dev's news.
They came around once a month and I've guessed they're moon related, but now it seems to be more frequent.

So, if it's moon related, earth can't be sun orbiting.

Edit : Sorry for misspelling names, but I've used french spelling (Copernic).

Funnybear, you like people to be correct when it comes to history and sciences? So please watch at your Galileo Galilei again
His initial attempt to be funny may have failed, but the first reply made it golden
ER . . . what?

It's true what I said about Galileo. I'm not saying he didn't do anything about the moon, but mostly what he did with the moon was look at it and agree with Copernicus. ALbeit in a I'm not agreeing agreeing kinda way. (He was around during the time of the inquisition and he was brought before them after he released evidence that the moon was not a perfect sphere. Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition, ahha . . . Actually it was the italian inquisition before anyone corrects me, but it doesn't sound as funny.)

Look, I'm doing this toungue in cheek anyway. If our french cousin up there can post his 'funny' post (Which I did kinda get to be fair) then I'm alowed to post mine . . . . For all I care he can fart in my general direction and tell me my father smells of elderberry's . . . or is that my mother smells and my father was a hamster? Damn.

Waaay off topic, but have you read the Baroque Trilogy by Niel Stephenson? Its the most extra-ordinary, epic, fictionalised account of the history of science. Its written by a science fiction writer and I think I learnt more about the history of science, economics, British culture etc. by reading it than I did in my entire time at school.
(not for the faint hearted though, 3 books with a total page count of about 3000)

FB, I think he was just picking on the fact that you mispelled "Galilei" in a post where you were telling someone off about how to spell "Copernicus".

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
Doh, my bad. Should learn to proof read better . . . .
