Dutch Hydraulic Force Feedback Joystick
The next step is a hydraulic FFB wheel, with full hydraulic brake

Seriously though, that looks awsome, and the fact it can pull you out of your chair is awsome. I used to have a Logitech FFB joystick and I always found it was realy sloppy, if they've managed to make one that isn't I'll definately be interested.
Interesting as a project, or on small scale, but hydraulics are not really suitable for every day use without costing an arm and a leg.

They leak frequently for no reason, for example if you leave it with some hydraulic pressure, it leaks. IIRC hydraulic fluid isn't cheap and I believe it would stain the carpet.
Go Holland!

In the interview, he actually states "To keep it simple and affordable we let the fluid leak a little. This is a choice 'by design' and the spilled fluid will go back into the system on its own."

But yes i was thinking the same thing, having worked with hydraulic machinery for a few years now

And as for hydraulic wheel in the future? WHY WAIT

Wow that price made me say WTF for first time since weeks

The short handle will make for limited movement and thus limited precision (like all gaming sticks these days) which to me exludes them from the high end and high precision market right away.

They claim that "All other sticks suck", "Current Force Feedback joysticks are very imprecise" and theirs have "extreme precision", so I doubt they have ever heard of the Tarmac Aces company.
These guys make long throw, true replica sticks (fe. no gamey return to zero)

I honestly can't see that metal heavy thing being more useful than a full CH-products setup(+-same pricecategory except it includes rudder pedals)..those who really want precision and high end would look at a long throw stick like the Tarmac Aces stuff.

Ps. Chris..make sure u sit down before looking at that site and what a base+grip+pedals would cost u

most ffb sticks allow you to turn return to centre off. BTW that stuff looks stupidly over priced. 500 euro for a BASE? and it doesn't come with rudder twist, throttle, or even a stick...sorry thats not goot value IMHO

Thats fluid dampened though, it's not hydraulic FFB.
That wheel isn't FFB at all actualy.

$1000 for a non FFB wheel with a fancy fluid damper is a bit much in my opinion.
Someone who comes on WS has that hydraulic wheel

I'd take the pedals for my Momo anytime tho. The price isnt listed tho.
