Quote from th84 :You're always refering to your own case, you are an atttention whore, no doubt about it. But the thing is.. no one cares.

Incorrect. I don't see myself an attention whore. I don't even talk to many people and I'm happiest on my own on my bike... I'd hardly consider that being attention seeking personality trait

Quote :If Im retarded, whats that make you? Come on, be honest with yourself.

Definatly no worse than you.

Quote :Really, are all Brits attention seeking, 'woe is me', someone please beg me to stay, tools? I dont think so. Why even ask such a stupid question? Your problem is with me, not all Americans. Dont be so moronic. All I can really say to you is, GROW UP, CHILD!

The only thing more childish than actually being a child is someone calling a grown ass man a child. So you can kindly **** off.

Quote :AS for your edit, you always talk big until someone calls your dumb ass out. Really, Jamie, grow up dude.

Calling that post edited? I added an "M" because I realised I'd made a typing error upon re-reading my post.

Quote :AMB, he doesnt need Jerry, more like Chuck E. Cheese.

Did you say I was childish?

Quote from Timdpr :Gotta agree with th84 there. Mabye your attitude is why you don't get along with your mum. Mabye I'm lucky that I get on well with my mum...mabye it's because I show appreciation for what she does. No son's day? I might sound like someone's mum here, but that does seem to be pretty much every day! She may do some sh!tty things to you, but I bet she's doing a lot more nice things to you than you are doing to her. Just be nice to her for once, see what happens...and you know what a good excuse to be nice to your mum is? Mother's day!

You're probably right. We do shitty things to each other but (and TH84 you can stfu right now) I really can't be bothered with it anymore. The easiest way for me to deal with it is to forget about it and her. I try to be nice but I'm an arsehole (as I'm constantly reminded thanks) to most people except for a select few that I trust with my life. (That'd be my Dad and a couple of friends)

Maybe next year I will try.
Quote from S14 DRIFT :Maybe next year I will try.

Worth a try! You could always do something tomorrow, but it's up to you, it's your life. Just trying to help! You do seem like a nice guy, apart from when you do this.

Ahhh, whats the point?

I'll just say this again. grow up, dude!

EDIT: It's obvious you have had no parental guidance. 17 yrs old is not even close to being a 'grown man'.
Quote from Becky Rose :The one that makes me laugh is Non-Smoking Day.

Non-smoking day should be 365 days per year.

One day every 4 years when you can try to kill yourself is enough.

Oh it isn't? Let's use another example. This time from your perfect and fault-free nation.

There's a 15 year old girl. She was kidnapped and kept for some ludicrous about of time (months) only 8 miles from her house. She's a child, defined by law yes. She's so young and innocent etc.

THEN -

There's a 15 year old kid. He accidentally kills his friend practising wrestling moves. He's tried and convicted as an adult. He got life without parole.

It's all about maturity. It's not fair or right to call a 17 year old, whom in (at least) RL is just as mature as any 30 year old, a kid just because of age. Call me what you want, your opinion of me is already set in stone and I don't care that much to bother going on about it, especially after today.

Who said that I live in a perfect and fault free nation? Trust me, I know that my country is screwed up... but most of them are. What does that have to do with me? Where do you come up with this stuff? Is that your way of passing your own issues onto someone/something else? You need help. Fast.

I agree, age doesnt mean a thing. I've met some very mature 17 yr olds, but you are not one of them. Granted, I havent met you and can only go by what I see here. I have never called you immature due to your age.

If you wanna bash the US, you go right ahead, if it makes you feel better (which it obviously does, you do it every chance you get). But that doesnt change anything.
i think a lock is in need here , gettin waay outta hand
Lock it now and re-open it when next mother's day is coming up. That way some people, not naming any names of course Mr. Jwardy, might not forget that mother's day is coming up and a card/present is in order!
i normally dont buy anything, my mother gets few kisses and the rest is the work of my father hehe.

tbh i like fathers day WAY more then mothers day (in germany fathers day mostly is just an excuse for partys with LOTS of alcohol )

I dont think you ever have to buy Mothers anything. A hug, a kiss and showing a little appreciation goes a long way.

exactly what i was thinking

I bought her a card then went over and cooked her a Sunday Roast for lunch. The least I can do really all things considered.

Found this in the Washington Post yesterday.

Quote :
The most exhausting part of parenthood is the fact that for 99.9 percent of the various needs, you can't simply decide to "opt out," or even put them off until later; a child preparing to run into traffic takes precedence over anything else. It is the loss of the smallest measures of mental freedom and self-containment, of ability to pay attention to oneself when needed AT THAT MOMENT, that carry the most impact on our lives, energy and sense of self.
In comparison, a status report doesn't cry or scream if you are an hour late finishing it, nor feel abandoned if you put it aside until after lunch while you take a walk to clear your head.
A typical staff meeting is unlikely to include your co-workers complaining when you bring snacks because they "hate bran muffins, yuck! Why don't we ever have anything GOOD to eat? Billy's team in Marketing gets doughnuts" -- accompanied by, in the case of toddlers, throwing of the objectionable food. Your boss is unlikely to wake you up at 2 a.m. and puke on you, or need her diaper changed or a glass of milk, and if she does you should DEFINITELY leave your job unless you are a live-in care nurse.
If your job begins each day at 6 a.m. with your boss wanting you to carry him downstairs and make him breakfast, then subsequently includes a day filled with a host of never-ending, unappreciated and (socially deemed) menial tasks, ending somewhere around 9 p.m., if lucky, you'd have a pretty good rant for the blogs, right? You'd also likely have lots of folks asking why you put up with it and hoping you get paid well, as opposed to an astonishing number of people wondering "what you do all day."

Lastly, when a mother does her job, chances are she gets little to no recognition (let alone raises or bonuses), and if she's doing her job "right," chances are also excellent that at some point she will hear with distressing frequency, "I hate you!!! You don't understand!! I WISH YOU'D LEAVE ME ALONE!" If you heard that coming from your boss after a successful ad campaign, you'd leave your job, right? And if not, maybe you are strong enough to be a parent after all and should go get knocked up posthaste.
Whether everyone agrees with me or not (and I realize there are some who will not), the stakes are higher and the consequences of failure are heavier for this job than most any other endeavor, with the grand irony being that because we are human, we are destined to fail on so many levels and with heart-rending frequency.
