OTT detail, laser guns, we are talking about microns for gods sake, and tooth brushes are for teeth! has this man got nothing else to do than worry about microscopic things that nobody would ever see!?!?
But all that cleaning, i mean... lets be realistic, yes it looks nice but take for a drive and its all dusty and dirty again... So no real point spending 2 days polishing, washing, rubbing, more polishing, some more washing ect...
Clearly it guy has a passion for his cars. Personally I'd rather have something RWD that I can go rallying in. Cars are meant to be filthy IMO (some of the time, at least). It shows they're being used. After all, a squeeling tyre is a happy tyre.
as soon as he said he took a paint depth gauge to inspect the car before he signed off i knew this guy had a problem. I'd take that Cossie over his fwd astra anyday.
The only insane thing I see is the car washing… Apart from that I notice only minor modifications… nothing really sophisticated apart from the esthetical part. And really when I saw the subwoofer it lost me there. The Nurburgring badges and heavy sound systems is just “no go”…
That´s exactly what I thought too.
And imagine all that cleaning and checking... then you take it out for a ride, park in a parking lot and then the door of the car beside yours is opening... *smack*
I guess this is one of the guys who has more fun cleaning and working on his car than driving it. At least I would not have fun driving it after cleaning all these details. It would become dirty again! So you either have a clean car or fun driving it. I don´t think that both is possible here. I clean my car too and I love it when it shines and all... but there are limits. And I love to drive it more than cleaning it ;-)
