F9 Display documentation?
All I can find is a isplay#F9_F10_F11_F12" target="_blank">reference in the Wiki, which seems to be out of date as it does not correspond to what I see when I hit F9.
What does each part of the display mean?

This is a screen shot of the right rear tire F9 display.
From the Wiki article it's clear that the bars on top are inner/middle/outer (I/M/O) vertical tire loads.
The numbers below the bars are I/M/O tread surface temps.

Below this there are three sections which change color. These don't change size like the Wiki says. Do these indicate tire wear or what? What colors correspond to what degree of wear (or whatever the heck is being measured)?

Then we have two colored sections that seem to indicate some properties of the inner and outer sidewalls? Again, what properties, and what colors correspond to which values (high or low)?

Finally there are two solid areas, again changing in color, which appear to tell us about something inside the tire. Could it be air temperature or pressure? Why are there two areas inside? And again, which colors correspond to which values (high or low).

I am in debt to anyone who can answer this.

Kind Regards,
Captain Funkypants

They do change size. You have to drive the tyres a little bit longer
They indicate tyre wear, as you already guessed. But I think your tests did not last long enough.
You're right about the bars and numbers at the top. The thickness of the three small colour fields is indeed the tread thickness you've got left. All the colours indicate temp of the respective tyre parts (green=good, blue=cold, red=hot). The orange bar in the bottom middle is the amount of dirt on the tyres, try driving two wheels throught the sand/grass and you'll see.
Inside the tyre the colour represents the temperature, originally there was a figure representing the temperature as well but I believe it was removed as it was causing confusion. Most people would say you want the inner temp to be at optimal, they meant the inner surface area but people were mistaking this for the inside temp.

Your correct about the sidewalls of the tyre, you usually don't need to worry about these much but I believe if they start getting red it indicates that they may be flexing too much. In which case some more pressure should help, but that will in turn effect the surface temperatures. So it's all a bit of a balancing act

btw that link in the wiki you provided doesn't work for me.
Thanks fellas.

Here is a correct version of my graphic then:
Here's the current Wiki text:
Quote :Tyre temperature

This is one of the most important displays in Live for Speed showing you the current temperature and wear of you tyres as well as the forces being effective on your tyres. The three figures on the top show the contact surface temperature on the outer, middle and inner side of the tyre. The figure in the center shows the core temperature of the tyre. The three gray bars above the contact surface temperature show the forces being effective on that area of the tyre. This information is essential for a proper camber setting. The three areas below the contact surface temperature show the wear of the tyres surface. The thinner these areas get the more the tyre is worn. As soon as the contact surface is too thin the tyre will lose preasure and the display will turn black.

Anyone want to take a stab at updating it?
