Is it me or are more and more threads closed for no good reason, other than that the moderator thinks it's not interessting??
Not a good development in my opinion.
If a thread is closed there's always a good reason for that.
For example, this one was, because the mods did realise that some of us are unable to discuss friendly about some subjects(ie : the speed developpement), so it's better to close it before it become a rant arena, or worse, a place where you can spam, which is never good for the image of the game.
Most of the time the mods aren't giving an explaination of why they're closing the thread, as their reasons are pretty obvious.

More and more threads are being closed at the moment, because more and more people seem to be having issues with either discussing things in a way that does not end up as a pissing contest. Alot of people have been around here for a few years, and many can instantly tell wether a thread will be productive or if it will just become a rant arena.
You should also note that more infractions are being issued to members, especially the older ones that should know better.
EG the "In Before The Lock" posts are about as blatent spam as you can get, so infractions will be awarded for posts like that.
The other issue is generally repeat threads. There are alot of those coming up at the moment also. This one for example is preety much a repeat thread and it will end up the same as:
Having to explain each and every locked thread would be very time consuming. Especially when (specifically noted in the thread linked above) people have issues with the moderator having the last word in the thread.
