Logitech 3D Pro is what I use. Got it for about $30. It gets the job done.

budget wise looking @ spending about £20 - £30

I got the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, rudder pedals en throttle quadrant

combine that with my G25, it takes in my complete table xD

BF2 sucks with a joystick IMO. I like a mouse and kb alot more.

How the hell do you properly fly a chopper with variable throttle using a keyboard / mouse?!

i got a saitek (FFB) effort. the rudder now spikes (less than 1 year old). saitek said they will replace/fix it but i wouldn't be arsed sending it to them.
twas a good stick too. i used it in ARMA and all the flight sims i have. lock-on is a very good game. you will require a 2nd joypad so you can map a fraction of the keys that are needed.
