Skinning with 3D Modeling Software
Any way to skin a model using a program like 3Ds Max so that you can properly wrap a texture around a model, I am programmer, I can find my way around Max and Maya and Photoshop, but I don't have the skills/patience to line up a texture so that it properly wraps around a model. It is a lot of trial and error for myself.


I could figure out how to wrap a model and line up a UV Map so it could render the texture, but I don't have the free time to spend a week on wrapping bacon around my skin.

If anyone could help, plugins to load up the CMX model, or a Scene that has a UV Map setup that I could work on skinning inside of 3DMax and then just exporting it as a JPG with Photoshop.

I am not an artist in the sense of visual, I write art (code) so any help I would greatly appreciate this, no one seems to be up for helping me make a skin that has bacon wrapped around the FBM skin.

Really, its just placing strips of bacon on the model large enough so that when compressed people can tell that the car is wrapped in bacon.
It's not quite as simple as you'd like it to be, but with these you can at least see the results quasi-realtime in Photoshop.
