g25 force feedback problem
this is the third thread, or bumped thread relating to problems with my new computer

my force feedback worked with my 2003 gateway perfectly, but my profiler diddnt work with my new computer, so i installed a new version from logitech.com, and it works fine, but now whenever i play lfs it has the begginning screen like it is installing something new every time and on the top left i get the messages 'CreateEffect failed (2 axis)' every axis works fine (except force feedback) and 'could not set up FF steer device'

no matter what i set the ff to be it doesnt work, with what is needed to be set in lfs (only overall effects stregnth at 101%) it is just pushing hard to be centered, and thats it this is hopefully my last thread with my new pc...please hurry and answer cause i am having lfs withdrawals
are you running LFS as an admin? that's the only thing i can think of...
ya...it is the only profile i have on this..it has a password to get in...
When you reboot the PC does the wheel spin around on it's own and self calibrate?

When you run the profiler and go to this screen

you should be able to tap the 4-way POV hat switch left/right and the wheel will spin flat out left or right. Does the wheel spin then to?

This is a good way to see if the driver is working correctly. If it is good, then it might be a problem with your LFS install. Redownload LFS and try a fresh version.

it does calibrate, all is normal when i plug it in, but when i go to that screen...no matter what button i press it doesnt move at all

this all started when i installed the new profiler
I thought the old profiler didn't work at all.

Anyway, make you sure totally un-install the logitech software, reboot PC. Re-install everything (logitech drivers) again and reboot.
I got my profiler to replicate what you have.

I turned down the global device settings >> Overall Effects Strength to zero as follows.

And then just like yourself, the movement button test in the G25 Racing Wheel Properties wouldn't respond.

Make sure you have overall strength set at more than zero (100% is good) for global device settings and for any individual game profiles you have set up.

edit: RE: your PM
If you're really worried about your G25, test it with your old PC or on some other PC.

i always did have the overall set to 101% (just incase the bug is still there) and i will try it out on another pc, good idea

EDIT: worked on the other computer (big sigh of relief )
